Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has unleashed yet another tribal outburst aimed at Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja.
Gachagua has claimed that Sakaja is targeting businesses that are owned by people from a certain region in the country in his decisions as Governor.
He claimed that Sakaja is working at a high speed that he is not comfortable with. Gachagua also claimed that he was the main reason why Sakaja is Governor and added that he has summoned the Governor in order to caution him against the speed of his decisions.
“We do not want his high speed (in making decisions) and I have summoned him for a sitting…It is a no for any of his decisions that might have negative effect on our people,” said Gachagua.
Was there a third person in the alleged beating to death of Asad Khan?
“We made you governor and we are vigilant on our interests” and “we must get involved in those decisions that have an effect on our people”.
Gachagua said that he will oppose the restructuring of matatu stations in Nairobi, arguing that this move will affect people from his tribal community.
“I want Sakaja to note that all decisions that will negatively affect Mt Kenya people in Nairobi must be discussed. I have to be involved. We will not accept anything that troubles our businessmen,” said Gachagua.
