Gideon Moi’s KANU has suspended secretary general Nick Salat.
According to a release from the party, Nick Salat has been suspended for violating the party constitution.
Following his suspension, the long serving secretary general will now be in the cold for a period of 30 days pending disciplinary proceedings.
“This is no notify you that at the National Executive Committee meeting on December 15, several complaints on your conduct and violation of the party Constitution were placed before the members for discussion,” a statement from KANU said.

“You are hereby suspended forthwith from carrying out and or performing your duties as the party’s Secretary General pending the determination of the disciplinary.”
The suspension comes in the wake of a call by Salat on the party to conduct fresh elections and realign its leadership.
“Nobody is directly targeted. We just want to transform the party and make it dynamic yet again. The fact is we are not doing well at the moment,” Salat had said.
