It seems long gone are the days when all house-helps in Kenya would get meager salaries at the end of the month.

The Kenyan government issued a decree to employers in towns that they pay their house helps salaries not less than Sh. 12,500 per month, while their rural counterparts should earn minimum wages of Sh. 7,200 monthly.
