Chama Cha Mashinani party leader Isaac Rutto has been airlifted to Nairobi for treatment.
According to a report that appeared in the media, Rutto has been unwell over the past one week. Apparently, Rutto has been struggling with flu, which he got during the campaigns. Rutto is among those contesting to become Bomet Governor.
“He had been unwell for the past one week due to acute flu which necessitated immediate evacuation from Bomet for thorough medical attention,” said CCM Secretary General Albert Kochei.
“He was experiencing a bad headache and fever. He must have been exposed to cold during the campaigns.”

Kochei added that on Tuesday after casting his vote at Chebaraa Primary School in Chepalungu, Rutto was airlifted by Amref Flying doctors to Nairobi Hospital.
