Jane Muthoni Sentencing: Please forgive our mother for killing our dad! This was the heartbreaking cry of Jane Muthoni’s children in court. The children pleaded that they had already lost one parent and were not set to lose another should the court opt to jail Ms. Muthoni over the murder of her husband Solomon Mwangi.
With tears rolling down her face, Muthoni’s daughter June Mbuthi said she and her siblings wanted justice for their father but asked the court to have mercy in the sentencing of her mother who was found guilty of killing her father.
“We are all students and have fee arrears. We also crave our parents’ love every day and it’s so hard. I believe my mother is innocent and I know that one day the person behind this will be known,” she said, adding that they have always depended on relatives and friends for support for the past five years.

This came even as the prosecution asked the court to hand Jane Muthoni a death sentence over the brutal murder of Mr. Mwangi.
Ms. Muthoni will be sentenced on June 3 this year. She allegedly plotted the brutal murder of her husband who was a principal at Kiru Boys High School over a love affair that he was engaged in. Jane Muthoni Sentencing.
