Ruto’s daughter who works at Ministry of Foreign Affairs joins Defence college

President William Ruto’s daughter June Ruto has joined a National Defence College program. June, who works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is among those picked by the ministry to undertake the National Security Strategy program. This has been confirmed by Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale.

“June Ruto, the daughter of the President and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the 67 students who have started their classes today,” CS Duale said during an interview at Citizen Tv.

“She is among the three that were nominated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to do the one-year National Security Strategy that Foreign Affairs, Immigration, KRA, EACC, NIS, DPP, and Ministry of Health among another 29 KDF officers at the rank of Colonel joined.”

Duale further alleged that June’s participation in the National Defence College program is one in a list of lies and propaganda that are being peddled around about the current administration.

“We have 67 students that joined this academic year. It’s a one-year program and June Ruto is one of the students. This is part of the fake news and propaganda,” said the Cabinet Secretary.

“The participants will engage in a curriculum focused on leadership, strategic studies, and national security, aiming to equip them with the skills to tackle contemporary security issues. The presence of international participants seeks to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen alliances for a unified approach to security.”

Previously, Ms. Ruto has served as the Charge D’Affaires at the Kenyan Embassy in Poland.
