KCB has launched a property centre at its Nairobi headquarters based at KENCOM House.
In a vote of confidence on the local real estate development, the bank’s Chief Operating Officer Samuel Makome said that the segment still has good returns if property loans are extended to the right people.
“It depends on who you are extending the loan to. When you do a credit analysis you will find out who is not able to perform. Performance is not all about the economy but the people accessing particular types of credit,” said Mr Makome.
The Property Centre is expected to host the bank’s construction arm and will also be a one stop shop for potential home owners who offer services such as tour features of special hot property listings.
