KCSE Results 2022: 30,822 candidates score grade E

KCSE results 2022 have been released. The results were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu.

In the KCSE results, a total of  173,345 candidates scored C+ and above. A total of 1,146 candidates scored grade A, out of which 271 were girls.

At the same time, the number of candidates with a mean grade of E declined to 30,822, which is 3.49 per cent compared to 46,151 the previous year.

881,416 candidates sat KCSE 2022 examinations. Out of these, 50.3 per cent were male and 49.69 per cent were female. 14 counties had more male than female candidates.

When releasing the results, CS Machogu departed from the path taken by former cabinet secretary George Magoha of recognizing most improved students.

He also failed to disclose who the top candidate was and from which school he came from.
