Kenya Railways suspends all commuter train services with immediate effect

Kenya Railway Corporation (KRC) has announced the suspension of all commuter train services with immediate effect.

Announcing the suspension on Wednesday, April 24, KRC said the move was necessitated by heavy rainfall in various parts of the city that have seen railway lines flood, making it difficult for trains to operate.

“We wish to notify members of the public that commuter train services have been temporarily suspended due to the ongoing heavy rains that have affected the rail lines,” read part of the notice.
