Lesedi Group appoints real estate connoisseur as CEO

Real estate firm Lesedi Group has appointed Simon A Day as the new group chief executive officer. Mr. Day will take over from Leah Muthoni who has been the chief executive officer at Lesedi over the past three years.

“Simon, whose appointment takes effect from December 2021, is a seasoned, well-respected and proven leader with an exceptional record,” said Lesedi in a statement. In his previous roles, the new chief executive officer has delivered substantial strategic and operational progress over a sustained period, delivering value for all stakeholders in the business while developing a distinct and cohesive culture, focused on customer care and service. “It is apparent that Simon is a great fit for The Lesedi Group and is well qualified to lead the business into the next phase as we continue to drive a program of change to become the leading real estate company offering affordable solutions of good value to thousands of Kenyans,” the company said in a statement.

The Group further noted that the new CEO will be bringing two decades of experience to the company. “He has a proven record of taking customer-centric real estate companies such as The Lesedi Group to the next level. With his passion, vision, and expertise, his leadership as CEO will be instrumental in driving The Lesedi Group to deliver new impact and advance progress toward changing the face of real estate in Kenya,” said Lesedi.
