Little Cab, a taxi hailing mobile phone app bringing technology and transport together
and the second largest player in the industry, has pegged its growth on innovation leading the industry in creating tailor made solutions for the unique Kenyan commuter and business landscape.
Since inception, Little has always maintained that as a Kenyan company its focus is on
ensuring its unique dynamics are effectively handled to deliver a win/win business
ecosystem for all the players in its platform.
“We reduced the cost per kilometer to the customer a few days ago in our basic
category, and this was a move aimed at getting more riders to sample our product and
experience the great services we provide. However, our drivers will continue to earn the
same rate they have always earned because we are sensitive to their financial
obligations as they help us grow the industry,” said Ashish Kukreti, the General
Manager.
Speaking to the drivers at their Craft Silicon Campus offices, the firm’s leadership
reassured the commitment towards the drivers, partners, customers and corporates.
The company has immediately started on-boarding more drivers in a move aimed at
restoring normal operations and service delivery. On the question of their safety and
security given the ongoing strike by drivers who are on its platform, the drivers were
reminded of the SOS feature on the Little Application (in conjunction with KK Security)
that gets help dispatched to your location in case of an incident. This service is open to
both commuters and drivers.
