Lizzie Wanyoike’s NIBS College builds Sh. 450 million hotel

Lizzie Wanyoike’s Nairobi Institute of Business Studies – also known as NIBS Technical College is set to open a 72 bed capacity Sh. 450 million five-star Kileleshwa hotel.

The hotel known as Emory Hotel  will be officially opened next week.

According toba local daily, the hotel will also serve as a business and platform for its hotelier technical causes.

“We are seeking to use the hotel as a job-creation venture and we have already recruited staff in all of its departments. We will also offer opportunities to suppliers to partner with us in making the business profitable as well as serve our tax obligations for the benefit of the national economy,” says NIBS founder Lizzie Wanyoike.

Lizzie Wanyoike further said that the hotel targets all cadres of clientele, in the process linking itself with the tourism sector where it will attract the much-needed foreign currency for the economy.

It was funded by Equity Bank through a negotiated credit package.

The 2015 African International Business and Management (Aibuma) award holder and this year’s National Diversity, Inclusion and Recognition awards (DIAR) nominee, however, said the government needs to be sensitive on local investors in its taxation regimes.
