The richest emcees we know today in our country never started at the top. Many grew up in poor and humble backgrounds. Now, they have made most of their wealth from being emcees.

They have fancy homes and cars as well as flashy lives, so they no longer need loans. This gig is already in their genes and they are already living lives mostly seen in dreams. Here is a look at the two richest emcees in Kenya right now:

 1. Felix Odiwour aka Jalango

jalangoThe Hot 96 Radio Presenter is one of the most famous comedians in the entertainment industry in Kenya. He was once featured on the Popular Young Rich show. The comedian has had a big bulk of the endorsement deals on TV from the most lucrative companies such as Safaricom which pays millions every year, Molo Milk, Hannan Tissue and many others.

He is an MC in most various huge events held all over Kenya by various companies. It is said that he is paid comedian charges at least Ksh 200,000 when he appears as an MC at your event.

Jalango is invited to at least 4 events in a month. Last year he quit Radio Maisha for Hot 96 which he is said to earn more than 800,000 per month. He has been able to afford luxury cars such as the Range Rover and a Bently.

2. Eric Omondi

Eric Omondi started as little know comedian in Churchill show where he was able to kick-start his career. In just a few years, Eric Omondi has become one of the most recognized names in the region comedy-wise.

He later left Churchill show to focus on his solo career where he has endeared himself to the public through his witty lines and hilarious jokes. He gets most of his money from Emceeing and corporate endorsements where he is said to charge around Ksh300,000. His estimated net worth is Ksh 30Million.

Emceeing might sound lame to some people but these two icons have shown that it is all about money.
