The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced that it is seeking to hire its male graduates to fill 217 vacant positions in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement on Sunday, NYS said successful applicants will be deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will earn a salary range depending on the job.
“Through our client reputable and duly registered recruitment company in Kenya, we are delighted to inform you our esteemed graduates [male] for exciting opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Among the advertised positions are Heavy Equipment Mechanics which require 60 men, Heavy Equipment Electricians [65], Generator Technicians [62], and Automative AC Technicians [30].
Those interested in this job are required to have a Diploma or Trade test in mechanical engineering or Construction plant mechanics or related qualification.
They must also have at least 10 years’ experience dealing with heavy equipment such as cranes, be able to write and speak in English, have good attitude, valid passport and current good conduct certificate.

On the other hand, Heavy Equipment Electricians whose work involves the servicing, repairs, and overhauls or replacement of electrical components, are required to have electrical knowledge, be able to inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose faults, and list parts required to repair and carry out repairs.
Meanwhile, the Heavy Equipment Electrician applicants should have Diploma or grade test in Electrical Engineering or a related field, be familiar with heavy equipment such as heavy cranes, and have a minimum of 10 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Additionally, they should be able to read, write, and speak English, have a good attitude, valid passport, and have a current good conduct certificate.
NYS also listed the requirements for Generator Technicians which include generator experience, [Cummins-CAT-Perkins], and qualified experience in the same field (over 10 years) of Electric Diagrams, excitation system analysis, and AVR mechanism.
They should also have current good conduct, a passport, speak and write in English, and should have a certificate, diploma, or grade test in mechanical or electrical.
Those interested in the Automotive AC Technicians’ post must be qualified and have experience in heavy equipment, be familiar with AC systems of heavy equipment, have a diploma or certificate or grade test, and should be able to write and speak in English.

Successful applicants will be contacted for interviews scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, November 23 to 24 at the NYS headquarters in Nairobi.
