Joseph Ole Lenku beats Katoo Metito in Kajiado Governor seat

Joseph Ole Lenku has been reelected as the Governor for Kajiado County.

Ole Lenku defeated Katoo Ole Metito who was vying on a UDA party ticket.

Lenku garnered 117,600 votes while Katoo Metito came in second with 111,725 votes.

Lenku had vied for the seat on a  ODM party ticket after switching his allegiance from the Jubilee party. In 2027, he had been elected to the position on the Jubilee party.

Lenku is the former disgraced cabinet secretary for Internal Security. He became an object of ridicule in 2013 during the Westgate terror attack thay appeared to expose his low grasp of matters security.
