Top photographers were yesterday recognized by PAWA254 for exemplary work in the photography industry.
The winners were recognized at a gala night at the Kenya Cultural Centre following a three-months photo contest dubbed – The 2018 Kenya Photography Awards.
“As we congratulate this year’s winners, we want to encourage more people to take part in this photo competition. Though we got a fewer entries this time round, we are positive about the potential that the industry has to offer and the opportunities that Kenya provides for professionals and hobbyists. We would particularly like to encourage more entries from female photographers. We too can take great shots,” noted Eve Wagema ,Organizing Coordinator, PAWA254.
The awards attracted a total of 921 entries in just three months and saw photo enthusiasts send in their photos for eight different categories – News, Creative, Sports, Nature, Portraiture, Daily Life, Humanitarian and People’s Choice.
