Full list of public colleges approved to offer teaching courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened its portal for placement in teaching courses in the September 2025 intake.

In a statement on Thursday, March 6, the placement service said the exercise will run until March 20, 2025.

KUCCPS is seeking to fill 13,823 slots available in the 36 public Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) in the country.

“A total of 13,823 slots are available in the 36 public Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) for the September 2025 intake into the Diploma in Primary and Secondary Teacher Education programmes. The application period will run until March 20, 2025,” KUCCPS stated.

Currently, there are 3 colleges offering Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with a capacity to admit 2,735 students. They include Kagumo TTC, Kibabii TTC, and Lugari TTC.

The other 33 institutions are offering Diploma in Primary Teacher Education and are set to admit 11,088 learners. Below is the full list of public institutions offering teaching Diploma courses.
