As Rahab Karisa’s husband comes to term with the profound loss of his wife, helping his children understand and process the grief of losing their mother has not been easy.
Maxwell Ayera and the late Rahab Karisa were blessed with two boys.
In a post, Maxwell said that a child psychologist had stepped in to help their children who are asking questions.
“RIP Mamaa. Louis is asking endless questions, and yes he deserves them, I am gonna give them all to him. Grateful that I was able to break it down to him about the FACT and what it means to him and Azzy,” he said in the heartbreaking post.
“That he can trust me and tell me his fears and his opinions, I thank God. I appreciate the Child Psychologist who helped my son deal with part of the trauma so far.”
Inside strange life of househelp Diana Naliaka who murdered Rahab Karisa
Maxwell then vowed to stand in the gap and raise their children in the right way.
“They’re so innocent, they lay so much trust on papaa to make it right, to clear their fears and keep them safe,” he said in a post.
“I will do it for you my sons, always and forever – I choose you and your wellbeing, growth and prosperity FIRST,” he vowed.
Maxwell’s wife, Rahab Karisa, was murdered by her househelp who has been identified as Diana Naliaka, who also identified as Sarah Nekesa Barasa. She murdered at her Kilifi home shortly after returning from a work trip abroad.
According to detectives, Diana, who fled the scene after commiting the murder, was later arrested over 900 kilometres away in Bungoma as she attempted to leave Kenya for Uganda.
She was arraigned in court on Thursday in Kilifi and detained for fourteen days to pave way for the conclusion of investigations.
