Azimio la Umoja leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has claimed that Kenyans will start paying more for fuel prices from this week.
“They were blaming Uhuru but he was just doing what other governments were doing worldwide. With subsidies, he was protecting Kenyans from the effects of the conflict in Ukraine but they have said it is unsustainable, this week the cost of fuel will go up again,” he said.
Fuel prices are set to be reviewed on October 14 for the new October 14 to November 14 phase.

Currently, a fuel is retailing at record highs of Sh. 179.30 a litre in Nairobi while diesel is going for Sh. 165 and Sh. 147.94 per litre of kerosene.
The pump prices are based on the cost of refined oil which was $117.53 per barrel while shilling exchanged at 120.64 units per dollar.Â
