Raila: Ruto must resign. I won elections by over 2 million votes

Azimio la Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga has now demanded for the resignation of President William Ruto.

Odinga has claimed that he won the presidential elections that were held on August 9, 2022. He claims to have a whistleblower whose data shows that he won the elections by over 2 million votes.

“According to the whistleblower data – the election wasn’t even close; we won with over 2 million votes,” he said. “We do not recognise William Ruto as the President of Kenya and any officials in office with him.”

Claiming that he is the rightful president, Odinga has said that he doesn’t recognize the presidency of William Ruto or any of the officials in office under his government.

Raila said that the Kenya Kwanza government under President Ruto should leave office immediately because it doesn’t have the mandate to lead.

“We demand that the Kenya Kwanza government resign because they don’t have the mandate to lead this country. We ask Kenyans to say no to the order regime,” he said.

He claimed that Azimio had been conducting investigations on the election results and come to the conclusion that they won.

“Since August 15th, we have conducted our own investigations of the IEBC and the election results. We are convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that our victory was stolen.”

“The resistance starts today… If it is going to take the resilience of the people of Kenya to help Africa sort out its election problems, I am ready to lead that process,” he said.
