Renowned sports journalist Sean Cardovillis is dead. The veteran journalist is reportrd to have died outside his home in Westlands, Nairobi.
According to the police, his body was found on Saturday, September 9, morning outside his house along Rhapta Road, Westlands where he lived alone.
The police said that the body was found at his staircase by a cleaner who had gone to clean the area leading to his house on the fourth floor of the apartment where he lived.

The cleaner raised alarm and an ambulance was called to the scene together with the police. Sean was declared dead by medics at the scene.
Over the last few months, Cardovillis is reported to have been suffering from an illness. In February 2022, his family went public with an appeal for financial help.
This was after Cardovillis was admitted at the high dependency unit of a hospital in Nairobi with lung complications.
“Sean has been hospitalized for a while now. The chest pains he had been experiencing for a while turned into pneumonia and one of his lungs collapsed, he also had an infection around his heart,” his family had said.
