Safaricom business rewards enterprises in Shangwe @25 Promotion

Safaricom (NSE: SCOM) enterprise arm, Safaricom Business has announced the first 25 enterprise winners in the ongoing Shangwe @25 nationwide promotion.
Ten MSMEs were awarded a Tricycle Bajaj each, nine won business restock worth KES250,000 each while six large enterprises were awarded KES500,000 each to support a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of their choice.
The winning businesses include Sakifarm limited, Millys the Redbeet fresh mat, Tito Busienei, Leonard Oongo, Carrix media group limited, Samuel Kimando, Alex Wasike, Manjok Ltd, Douglas Onserio and Muriiri Girls Secondary School who received a Tricycle Bajaj each.
Ebee mobility Kenya limited, Justus Kiprono Koros, Robert Nyakundi Ayuka, Taifa Sacco Limited, Federico investments, Robstar Premium Fit Ltd, Sawe Cheruiyot Mais, Ronak distributors and Golden Green Properties Ltd received KES250,000 worth of restock while Moringa School Limited, European Union, United Nations Federal Credit, Vivo Activewear Ltd, Kenya human rights commission and GlovoApp Ltd each received KES 500,000 towards a CSR initiative of their choice.
“The shangwe@25 promotion is designed to thank our customers including our enterprise partners. The randomly selected winners represent the many enterprises we are fortunate to work with every day. We are grateful for the trust and collaboration that continue to make our partnerships meaningful. Our commitment is that we will continue to offer businesses across all segments practical tools and opportunities to grow and thrive,” said Frankline Okata, Ag. Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Safaricom PLC.
Elijah Sawe, CEO of Sakifarm, an avocado grower and exporter highlighted how Safaricom Business solutions have improved their operational efficiency and strengthened engagement with farmers.
“We use at least four solutions from Safaricom Business. The most important is bulk SMS, an automated process we use for our 300 farmers, enabling us to make over 100 payments daily during peak season. These solutions have helped us build trust with farmers, remain competitive, and reduce human resource costs,” said Sawe.
Nikki Germany, CEO of Moringa School, appreciated the CSR support, noting its impact on youth and digital skills development.
“We are delighted to receive this contribution from Safaricom as it strengthens our mission to equip young people with market-ready tech skills. It allows us to expand training opportunities for learners who would otherwise not access such programmes. Empowering youth is ultimately empowering the future of our economy,” she said.
Enterprises can participate by buying, renewing, or reactivating any Safaricom Business service whether voice, internet, IoT, cloud, cybersecurity, or M-PESA for Business. Each transaction earns one entry. Winners will be announced weekly throughout the eight-week promotion, which runs until January 19th, 2026.
