Pastor Victor Kanyari’s sister Starlet Wahu has been found murdered. Wahu, who was a socialite and a social media influencer, was found murdered in a South B bed-only accommodation facility.

According to CCTV footage, Starlet Wahu had checked into an accommodation apartment in South B, Papino, with a man who has been identified as John Matara.

Matara has been identified as the prime suspect in her murder. He is alleged to have turned on her while at the facility.

He was arrested at Mbagathi Hospital where he had gone to allegedly seek medical help.

CCTV footage from the apartment shows the two, who are suspected to have been checking into the building as lovers, walking side by side.

They then stop at the ground floor’s lift. Wahu is seen wearing a red skirt and denim jacket. She is seen pacing around Matara as they await the lift to come down.

The footage later shows them stepping out of the lift. They walk and get into house number Y32. It is in this house that Wahu was later found dead with stab wounds on her thighs. The two are reported to have booked the house for a night out.

“He severed the vein leading to the heart, which caused her swift death, and we couldn’t save her because she had lost a lot of blood,” said Makadara Police Commander Judith Nyongesa.

A report that appeared in a local media house, Nation, claimed that the duo also took an HIV test whose results were negative.
