Sportpesa has fired its chief marketing officer in what has been interpreted as a surprise move.
Although the betting giant has remained silent on the sending home of its marketing chief Kester Shimonyo, it has been reported that he together with a junior marketing officer might have been forced out due to accountability issues.
According to Business Today, the firing had to do with money and accountability. He was the former Business Manager at the Standard Group and Royal Media Services.
According to the online business journal, the sacking is expected to be followed by a lifestyle audit on some of the senior managers at Sportpesa. Apparently, it is suspected that some staff might be using loopholes to siphon cash from the multi-billion betting company.
