Kenyans to get full Australian scholarship, see application process

Through its High Commission in Australia, the Government of Kenya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Stanley International College. This agreement will enable qualified Kenyan applicants to receive full scholarships to study abroad.

The notice, dated November 18th, invites KCSE candidates who scored at least a B plain in their national exams to apply for two courses offered at the Perth-based institution. These courses are the Bachelor of Community Service and the Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology.

If successful, applicants will receive full tuition fee coverage and a waiver of AUD 230 (approximately Sh. 19,000) on their enrollment fee. They will also be required to have completed an English proficiency test, achieving a score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no band score lower than 6.0.

Successful applicants will be required to enrol in the course immediately. The program will run continuously without breaks until the completion of their studies.

To ensure credibility, fairness, and transparency in the application process, the Canberra-based High Commission has excluded relatives of its staff from the scholarship. The commission will also not receive any proceeds from the scholarship.

Application Process

KCSE candidates have been invited to the Ministry of Education website where they shall retrieve the application form. They will be required to fill out the form and submit it to the Kenya High Commission in Canberra via the email address, [email protected]
