The recent launch of the regulations for the 2018 Auto Expo generated a strong response. More than half of the 28 trade stands have been grabbed and only 13 spaces remain to be allocated. The event is an informal exposition of Kenya’s motor industry which will be held in conjunction with the CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance at the Nairobi Racecourse on September 30th.
Auto Expo gives the motor trade the opportunity to showcase products and services to the large crowd of motorists who flock the Nairobi Racecourse for the annual Concours which is rated as the classiest event on the Kenya motoring calendar. The event also gives potential vehicle buyers the opportunity to compare rival makes in one location without visiting showrooms in different parts of Nairobi.
In addition to the vehicles on show by DT Dobie and Nissan Kenya, Pipe Manufacturers Limited will showcase exhaust systems and there will be a display of the Chloride Exide range of lead acid and maintenance free batteries. Bosch East Africa will be exhibiting for the first time and Total Kenya will have a display of car and motorcycle lubricants. Kingsway Tyres and Kibo Africa are among those signed up for the event.
To enhance the appeal of Auto Expo, CBA is arranging for spectators to vote for the best new car on display using an SMS system. A prestigious trophy recognising the winning car at Auto Expo will be presented in the agent’s show room after the event.
