The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced an upcoming mandatory training for teachers, TSC secretariat staff, and learners in grade eight.
In a circular dated March 26, TSC said the Ministry of Information Communications and the Digital Economy will offer the digital skills training through the ICT Authority.
The training is part of the implementation of Kenya’s National Digital Master Plan 2022-2032 which seeks to impart and enhance the digital skills of Kenyans. Kenyans undertaking the training will be required to pay a fee of Sh2,500.
“The training will be self-sponsored at a fee of Ksh2,500 per person for basic digital skills, and a certificate will be issued upon completion and assessment by the Government,” TSC noted.
