Telkom Kenya introduced a mobile data package that allows prepaid customers to share 100GB of internet data, 200 on-net minutes, 50 off-net minutes, and 200 SMS with up to five other subscribers.
The Changa bundle is available at a cost of Sh. 1,500 per month and is exclusively available to Telkom’s prepaid subscribers.
The company hopes to grow its revenue by enhancing its data offering to compete with fairly in the market.

The Changa bundle is only available on weekdays, making it an ideal option for corporate clients and students. The package has a validity period of 30 days and does not offer the option of rolling over unused data to the following month.
“Telkom, guided by our belief that mobile data is a fundamental human right, proceeded to create a bundle that speaks to the mind of the Kenyan consumer, giving them the ability to acquire a large bundle with more resources that they can share with family and friends,” said Eric Achola, Telkom’s Marketing Director.
How it works
A Nominator (Main Purchaser) will first buy the bundle, then set up a group with at least three and at most five members. The Nominator’s number is subscribed automatically.
“There is no other product in the market that can enable you to acquire and access such large amounts of Mobile Data at a very competitive rate that you can then proceed to share with others.” Mr. Achola added.
