The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released the timetable for the upcoming Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

According to the timetable, the assessment will begin on Friday, October 25, and end on Wednesday, October 30.

Candidates will start their rehearsals on Friday, October 25 with the main examinations set to run from October 28.

Students will sit their Mathematics and English papers on Monday, October 28, followed by Integrated Science and Kiswahili papers on Tuesday, October 29.

On the final day, candidates will sit for the Creative Arts and Social Studies paper in the morning.

“The time for reading through the questions is included in the duration specified on the paper, except where special instructions state otherwise,” KNEC stated.

According to the council, no students will be allowed to leave the examination room when the papers are being done unless when given special permission by the supervisor.

Additionally, the council has prohibited any form of communication between candidates or with outsiders during the assessment.

“You are not allowed to have in your possession or in your proximity while in the assessment room, any book, notes, papers or any other materials whatsoever except the correct question papers and any materials expressly authorized by the Kenya National Examinations Council.”

KNEC warned that any candidate who commits an assessment irregularity in any paper will have their results for the entire subject canceled.

“If there is evidence of widespread irregularities in any assessment centre, the assessment results for the whole centre will be canceled.”

The council has teachers to help candidates understand the provided instructions thoroughly and to make them aware of the consequences of assessment irregularities or misconduct.
