Smartphone companies are launching pocket friendly gadgets that have high tech specifications in the country. And this has given users a wider space to pick a favorite. Recently, Huawei launched the Y9 set to compete with OPPO F7, Samsung Galaxy J6 and the Tecno Camon X Pro. The phone has some good features like the Dual 13MP + 2MP rear camera which has the ability to blur the background and runs on Android OS, v8.1(Oreo).

Tecno has also launched two budget smartphones; Camon 11 and 11 pro to compete with the Y9. The two tecno phones have almost the same features and they  are expected to retail at Kshs 15,000 and 24,000 respectively. And sellers will eventually give their offers on the 26th of November.

It doesn’t have the best camera but it can take descent pictures in perfect lighting since it comes with a 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

This phone retails at 14k but you can buy it on Masoko at KES 9,999. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and it’s powered by a quad core processor and clocks at 1.3GHz processor. It also packs a 1GB RAM and an internal storage of 16GB which can be expanded. The Tecno R9S supports 8MP primary camera and 8MP front facing camera and both cameras have LED flashlight.

The phone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor and it comes with 1GB of RAM. It also packs 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime packs a 8-megapixel (f/2.4) primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

Infinix Smart 

This is the older version since Infinix launched the Smart 2 earlier this year with slightly better specs compared to the original one. However, Infinix Smart comes with a 5.0 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 pixels x 720 pixels at 294PPI which is very good for this phone. The phone runs on Android (7.0 Nougat) with XOS and it’s powered by a 1.3GHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor supported by 1GB of RAM.

Tecno L8 Lite 

The Tecno L8 Lite is an upgrade from the L8 and it’s powered by a Quad-core 1.3 GHZ MediaTek processor which is quite good for a budget device. As for the OS, it comes with Android 6.0 and a high end battery capacity of  4000mAh Li-Ion that will last you long and get you browse more. It also comes with 8MP primary camera and 2 MP for selfies.

Wiko Sunny 2

This phone was launched last year and it’s very cheap. It is powered by Spreadtrum SC7731G chipset, 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.

It runs on Android OS v6.0 (Marshmallow) and comes with a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery. It also features a 4 inches TFT display with 480 x 800 px resolution. As far as the camera is concerned, the Wiko Sunny 2 has no autofocus capability (fixed-focus). The primary camera is 2 MP and the rear camera packs 5 MP.
