Micky Bassi the winner of the 2018 Total Excellium Economy Run will defend his title in this year’s event. This has been an annual fixture of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club since 1982 and this year’s edition will be held on June 22nd.  Micky will be driving his 1981 Alfa 75 sports saloon and will face a strong challenge from multiple winner Shailesh Chandaria.

The start will be located in the ABC service station on Waiyaki Way and the Economy Run will finish at the Total Moi Road service station in the centre of Naivasha. The winner will be the competitor using the least amount of fuel within the allocated time.

The up to 1500cc class has attracted entries from Gursharan Singh in a 1980 Alfasud Sprint and the Alfa 147 sports saloons of Kuki Mahajan and Gayling May. Renowned CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance competitor Sati Gata Aura has been listed in the 2000cc class with his 1973 Alfa GTV which is the oldest car in the event.

SPACE ALLOCATION FOR AUTO EXPO STARTS ON WEDNESDAY (JUNE 19TH)

At the finish of the Total Excellium Economy Run, competitors will have their fuel consumption measured for the calculation of the results. They will then proceed to Matteo’s restaurant on Naivasha South Lake Road for car care judging and the lunch time prize-giving.
