Popular journalist Trevor Ombija has resigned from his position at NTV.
Emerging reports say that the news anchor is now set to join Citizen Tv.
If he joins Citizen, Ombija will be the latest in a cast of top stars who work at Citizen. He is widely being seen as a replacement following the loss of top anchors Ann Kiguta and Fred Indimuli who resigned from Citizen Tv recently.
This year, Kenya’s media has been characterized by raging musical chairs as media houses poach each other’s top casts in a bid to boost ratings and improve on earnings.
Ombija has build a reputation for success and excellence having graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in Journalism.
He worked, as an assignment desk editor at CCTV Africa from May 2012 to July 2013. He then proceeded to work as an assistant sea exports coordinator at international logistics company SDV from February 2010 to April 2011.
In 2013, he was back in the media world at Nation FM from August 2013 to August 2014 when he moved to Nation TV.
