Man who got 18k rent from Jalang’o asks him to collect it back in 48hrs

Vincent Mboya, the young Kenya man who asked for help with his rent from popular comedian Jalang’o has now given the radio presenter 48 hours to collect his money back.

Vincent Mboya is refunding the money over what he terms as Jalang’os arrogance and attitude towards him. He is especially irked that the comedian lectured him to work hard on the day he gave him the money to offset his rent.

Mboya had gone public with a placard, in which he begged Jalang’o to pay the outstanding rent he had accumulated. The accumulated rent had reached Sh. 18,000 by early August.

The young man accused the Kiss 100 FM morning presenter of belittling him while offsetting the arrears.

“I’m giving you 48 hours you come collect your money,” he said while counting the cash. He can pin his location so that we meet and I hand him the cash,” he said.

Mboya added that he would top the amount as a show of appreciation to the comedian if the need arises. “I’m returning the money in good faith…If he wants me to exceed it I will do. My name is the prize,” he said.

The 21-year-old Mboya said that he had risked being thrown out of his house. This pushed him to seek help from the public.
