2 Kenyans listed in Forbes 30 under 30 2016

Forbes Africa has revealed the top 30 under 30 entrepreneurs in Africa in 2016. Interestingly, two Kenyans have made it to the list as the most promising businessmen i Africa today. the two are Barclay Okari and Joel Macharia.

Others included Nadav Ossendryver, Siya Beyile, Inga Gubeka, Emmanuel Bonoko and Mogau Seshoene from South Africa, Nkosana Mazibisa from Zimbabwean, Momarr Mass Taal from Gambia, Hanta Tiana Ranaivo Rajaonarisoa from Madagascar, Vital Sounouvou from Benin, Kelvin Doe from Sierra Leone, William Elong from Cameroon, Fatoumata BA from Senegal, and Uneku Atawodi and Obinwanne Okeke from Nigeria.

Mr. Macharia is an entrepreneur and the founder of Abacus, a business and financial information company. At the age of 26, he was nominated as one of the Business daily’s Top 40 Under 40 men in Kenya.

Barclay Okari is the founder of Impact Africa Industries which manufactures affordable, reusable sanitary pads. According to Forbes, at only 22 years of age in 2014, Mr. Okari’s firm had distributed  over 1 million across East Africa.
