There is joy in one Laikipia village after one of its sons was nominated to join the Alliance High School for the first time in the village’s history.
The student Evans Maina from Nturukuma Village was the first student from the village to score more than 400 marks in the primary national examination.
“I have always regarded Alliance High School as one of the best and I desired to join,” he said. “I thank God for the selection process that gifted me the opportunity to join the school and I promise not to let you down.”
Coming from a humble backyard, Evans said that getting access to learning resources proved difficult.
