KCSE candidate Nyaga Alistair Murimi has landed a new job three days after Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results on Friday, January 20.
Despite coming from a poor background, Murimi overcame the odds of poverty to record a stellar performance in the national examinations.
Murimi scored a mean score of A- and was offered a job by the Kenya Airlift Programme. This initiative helps brilliant Kenyan students achieve their dream of studying in the US regardless of their financial background.
He got an A- in Agriculture, B+ (English), A- (Kiswahili), A (Mathematics), A- (Biology), A – (Physics), A- (Chemistry), and B in CRE and Business Studies.
Tech entrepreneur Bob Mwiti who sponsored Murimi under the Kenyan Airlift program, was overjoyed as he broke the news online.
“About four years ago, I made a decision to fully sponsor a very needy kid from Mbeere, Embu county who had been admitted to Nkubu High School. The boy has done it. Nyaga Alistair Murimi index: 15319101339. Mean grade A- AGP 75,” part of his caption read.
The consultant revealed that he had promised Nyaga university education that was catered for till the Master’s level.

“I have also decided to give him a job to work for the Kenya Airlift Program as he studies his undergraduate in Kenya, after which we will support his Master’s in the USA,” he added.
