Best Maternity Hospitals with Quality, Affordable Services

Parenthood is a dream that many, if not all, women dream of. However, some of these dreams are cut short just a few hours to winning the title – a mother.

A 2019 report by the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that each year about 295 000 women die during pregnancy or childbirth globally. WHO notes that 94 percent of these deaths occur in low and lower-middle-income countries.

Another Study by the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) estimates that 6,300 women die annually during pregnancy and childbirth in Kenya.

Various factors contribute to these deaths, from negligence in health centers, lack of appropriate care during pregnancy, or lack of skilled health attendants.

All these deaths are preventable if women receive essential health services. Various hospitals in Kenya have been given a thumb up for the best maternity services.

The list is formulated according to the number of times a hospital was recommended when the question was posed on social media.

Key reasons why the mothers recommended the maternity hospitals are due to factors such as the nature of the maternity staff, are they friendly, ready to answer questions, and provide guidance politely.
