It is often said that knowledge is power, and for Brian Mutie, this statement rings true. As one of the most educated people in the country, he holds a staggering number of degrees and certifications from renowned universities around the globe.
Mutie, who presently serves as an advocate of the High Court, boasts over 17 years of experience in Governance, Performance Contracting and Audit, and Public Health, among others.
His educational background began at Mung’eli Primary School in Kaiti, Makueni County. He later proceeded to Mukuyunu High School in the same region, with his exemplary performance procuring him the chance to join Daystar University in 2008.
“Before joining Daystar University for my undergraduate degree, I had worked as a DJ for five years at Mbaitu FM,” he said.
He graduated from the institution in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Transformation.

Mutie proceeded to the University of Nairobi (UoN), where he earned his first Master’s degree in 2013 after graduating in Project Planning and Management.
Other Certifications he holds include Introduction to International Criminal Law (Case Western Reserve University), Graduate Certificate in Public Policy Challenges of the 21st Century (University of Virginia), and Graduate Certificate Disaster Preparedness (University of Pittsburgh).
In addition, he holds a Graduate Certificate in Introduction to Environmental Law and Policy (University of North Carolina School of the Arts), a Graduate Certificate in Internet History, Internet and Security (University of Michigan), a Graduate Certificate in Research Methods (University of London), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from UoN.
Mutie also holds a Master of Science in Governance, Peace, and Stability from Africa Nazarene University, as well as a Master of Law in International Law from Liverpool John Moores University.

His other distinguished resume includes a Ph.D. in Governance and Leadership from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law from UoN.
Mutie has been involved in the field of education for several decades as he taught at JKUAT, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, and International Leadership University.
His extensive experience in various fields makes him a respected and accomplished professional. He has worked with some eminent companies across the globe, including the World Bank and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
Others are the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), European Union, and German Technical Co-operation Development (GIZ).
