Traders and hawkers have returned to Londiani Junction barely 48 hours after the deadly road accident that took the lives of 53 people.
The accident had occurred on the evening of Friday June 30, 2023. On Saturday July 1, the area remained largely restricted as residents came to terms with the heavy loss of 53 people.
However, on Sunday July 2, 2023, the Nation reportee that normalcy had creeped back to the busy Londiani Junction that serves as a source of income for many people who live on the surrounding area.
The return to normalcy came hot on the heels of a directive by Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen that all traders and hawkers be removed from key highway points. Murkomen had issued the directive when he visited the accident scene on Saturday.
