How to change Universities, programmes on KUCCPS portal

How to change Universities, programmes on KUCCPS portal

The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement (KUCCPS) has given 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students a final opportunity to select their preferred courses and institutions.

In a statement, KUCCPS said students who are unhappy with their initial placement can request a transfer.

To apply for transfers, students will be required to log in to students.kuccps.net using their personal details. Once logged in, navigate to the “Transfers” tab and select the specific program they wish to transfer to and fill in the program code for their preferred course.

KUCCPS will then check if the student meets the required cutoff points for the desired program before clearing them for the programs. Students who do not meet the required cut-off points of the preferred programmes will not be allowed to proceed.

Further, students will be required to provide an explanation for initiating the transfer and make a non-refundable payment of Sh1,000 through mobile transfer.

“Caution! Do not make any payment before the applicant has been prompted or after the application deadline has passed!” warned KUCCPS.

The transaction code received from this payment will be used to validate the transfer application, after which your application will be automatically sent to the chosen institution.

If the institution approves your transfer, it will be forwarded to your initial school for endorsement before final approval by KUCCPS.

A transfer letter will then be issued via your portal once the request is approved. The transfer letter will serve as your admission letter to the new university or college.
