The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has announced a new credit facility targeting students in the nursing profession.
The new facility is set to benefit nursing students and those advancing their nursing careers with a range of up to Ksh500,000.
“Application is now open for the Advanced Nursing Education Fund: flexible, affordable study loans for Nurses pursuing advanced and specialized courses in approved training institutions in Kenya,” HELB stated in a notice dated Wednesday, January 3.
HELB announces changes in loan payment
The Ksh500,000 loan will be payable for five years and will attract an interest of 4 percent.
To qualify for the loan, one will be required to provide a copy of an admission letter from a HELB-compliant institution, a fully filled application form, and a copy of the national identity card.
Other requirements include three recent payslips copies certified by the applicant’s employer.
