The Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, announced they had opened a recruitment drive targeting 7,559 enumerators from 12 counties.
The notice indicated that the job period would last for 21 days. The following is a list of counties where the recruitment drive is scheduled and the number of enumerator positions to be filled.

- Â Bomet: 521 enumerators
- Â Nyeri: 312 enumerators
- Â Nakuru: 1,002 enumerators
- Â Siaya: 495 enumerators
- Â Kiambu: 833 enumerators
- Â Nandi: 432 enumerators
- Â Nairobi: 1,495 enumerators
- Â Embu: 276 enumerators
- Â Busia: 730 enumerators
- Â Trans Nzoia: 425 enumerators
- Â Kericho: 380 enumerators
Qualifications & Salary
For the enumerator jobs, all applicants must be high school graduates having scored a mean grade of at least C- in their KCSE. They are also required to be proficient in computer literacy.
All applicants must reside in the locations where they are applying for the roles and also understand the local language.
Successful candidates will receive daily wages of Sh. 1,000 based on daily targets outlined in the appointment letter, which they will receive after 21 days.
Additionally, the enumerators will receive a transport allowance of Sh. 500 daily to facilitate the data collection, and airtime will also be supplied.

Supervisor Recruitment
The ministry further plans to recruit 762 supervisors from the same counties to oversee the enumeration process and support enumerators.
Requirements for supervisor positions include having a C grade in KCSE, being proficient in computer use and living in the counties that they are applying for. They should also be Community Health Volunteers with leadership experience.
This position pays a daily wage of Sh. 1300, a transport allowance of Sh. 1000 daily. The total earnings for the entire period will be Sh. 48,300.
