The Quiver chain is growing day by day with six branches in various parts of the country.

The entertainment joint, which is one of the popular in the country, opened its first branch, Quiver Lounge & Grill, now Quiver HQ, along Thika Superhighway, before exploring other opportunities in various parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, and Murang’a counties.

The quiver branches include Quiver Eastlands along Kangudo road Nairobi, Quiver Milimani (Nairobi), Quiver Kilimani (Nairobi), Quiver Kenol (Murang’a), and Quiver Kitengela (Kajiado).

The Quiver chain is owned by tycoon businessman Peter Mbugua who has for years stayed away from the limelight despite the rapid expansion of his business to various parts of the country.

In a recent interview with Business Daily, Mbugua revealed he runs his businesses with his wife, who quit her job at a local bank to assist in managing the businesses.

The businessman further opened up on his personal life, revealing he never misses church and doesn’t consume alcohol despite heavily investing in the liquor business.

“I don’t miss going to church. I am never branded as a nightlife person. There is Peter and there is Quiver,” he said.

Besides his club business, Mbugua has also invested in the insurance business with a multimillion stake at Definite Assurance Limited, that targets public service vehicles.

The businessman holds 22 percent stake through Swingers Skypark Lounge Ltd, behind Mikaj Topgrains Company Limited, which holds a 25 percent stake, and businessman Kushian Muchiri who holds a 30 percent stake in the firm.

The insurance business serves as a back-up and retirement plan for the businessman who says that club business has no longevity and he cannot sustain the odd hours once he clocks 50.

“Club business, like it or not, does not last for too long,” he noted.
