Salary, allowances, and hefty benefits earned by Senators in Kenya

Senators play a crucial role in representing the interests of the 47 counties. They make laws approving bills concerning counties and determine the allocation of national revenue among counties.

Senators receive hefty compensation, which includes a monthly salary, allowances, and additional benefits.

The compensation awarded to Senators is determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and applies equally to elected and nominated senators.
