Kenyan influencer and media personality Azziad Nasenya has moved to court to challenge the planned auction of her apartment in Kileleshwa.
In the case filed before the Commercial Court in Nairobi, Azziad accused Qona Deposit Taking Savings and Credit Society of an illegal attempt to auction her house valued at more than Sh20 million despite having cleared all outstanding loan arrears.
She claimed to have acquired the property legally through a mortgage financing arrangement with the Sacco.
Azziad further claimed that the financial institution is attempting to recall the entire loan amount and has instructed an auctioneer to dispose of the apartment, valued at approximately Sh20.3 million, in what she terms an unlawful and premature process.
The property in question is a modern twin-tower apartment development in Kileleshwa, sitting between the Lavington and Kilimani suburbs, made up of around 16 floors with about 99 units.
The building has 4 and 5 bedrooms apartments with a size of 265 square meters and 320 square meters respectively and features a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, kids’ play area, power back-up generator, borehole, 2 parking slots for each unit and visitors’ parking slots, electric fencing, and 24-hour CCTV.
The units are all en-suite with spacious lounge with balcony, spacious master’s with a large walk-in closet, and balcony, modern fitted kitchen with a pantry, and are quipped with spacious laundry area.
In her affidavit, Nasenya claims the planned auction was rushed and illegal, as the financial institution had already begun recovering funds through her savings account. By September 2025, she had reportedly cleared Sh4.2 million out of Sh5.1 million in arrears.
Despite this, the Sacco allegedly went ahead and advertised the property for auction on the Daily Nation on September 24, 2025.
Through her lawyer, Azziad is seeking an order to bar the Sacco from proceeding with the sale of the apartment until her case is fully heard and determined
