Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) publication of the top taxpayers’ list has uncovered more than 100 little-known billionaires.
Top on the list of the silent billionaires are:
1). KPMG’s chief executive, Josphat Mwaura.
2). Ernst & Young’s CEO, Gitahi Gichahi.
3). Philip Kinisu, the former chairman of the ethics and anti-corruption commission.
4). SportPesa chairman Paul Ndung’u.
5). Andrew Ndegwa (of the Philip Ndegwa business dynasty).
6). Lucy Mwiti.
7). Faith Mwikali.
These billionaires are now in the same club with the owners of old money such as:
1). Baloobhai Patel, stock market billionaire investor.
2). Naushad Merali (Sameer Investments chairman).
3). Bharat Thakrar (Scangroup CEO).
4). Narendra Raval (Devki Group chairman)
5). Pradeep Paunrana (ARM Cement CEO).
