The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has issued samples of the new digital digital licences revealing how they will look.
The new digital driving licenses will be fitted with electronic chips that will contain key details of a driver and will resemble Bank ATM cards.
Among other things that will be included in the smart driving licences are the title ‘Driving Licence’,driver’s blood group,NTSA logo and a micro chip.
Roll out of the digital driving licences is expected to start with NTSA staff and VIPs.
The back of the licences will contain information such as the category the driver is licensed to operate and its expiry dates.
