Sports gear retailers RA Sports announced the grand opening of an Adidas retail outlet at The Hub Karen, Nairobi, further solidifying its presence in the Kenyan market. And with plans to open another store soon.
The momentous occasion was graced by Egyptian Ambassador in Nairobi, Wael Nasreddin Attia, who ceremoniously cut the ribbon alongside RA Sports Country Manager Karim Montasser.
The strategically located store aims to offer an enhanced shopping experience to sports enthusiasts and fashion-forward individuals, providing access to Adidas’ latest collections and cutting-edge products.
Speaking during the opening of the new store, Adidas representative to Africa Karim said
“We believe this new store will help Kenyans access quality, modern, and affordable Adidas apparel, including shoes, training gear, and a wide range of stylish sportswear options,”.
He said business was good in Africa but decried high vat taxes and urged the Kenyan government to reduce the taxes for Kenyans to enjoy affordable prices on their products.
While addressing the media, he mentioned opening more stores for the sports outlet and sourcing manpower from Kenyans who are in need of jobs.
During the event, Mr Karim put it that they are in the process of opening more stores across Africa which will be run and managed by Kenyans. Who have been intensively trained and are ready for the job.
