Losing a job at Kiss FM is never anything to smile about. The station, which is part of the Radio Africa Group, pays very well. For the former Kiss FM breakfast show co-host Andrew Kibe, it was not just the loss of a heavy salary that bite.
After losing his job at Kiss, things did not go quite as he had envisioned them.
Kiss was a big job for him that brought in big money. Once this job and the huge income were gone, Kibe lost his car and house in very quick succession.
“2020 ilikuwa imeniokota bruh (The year 2020 was hard one for me), I lost my moti (car), I lost the house I was living in, I was homeless for a moment,” he said.

Kibe said that he tried to reach out to friends but they were not very willing to rescue him. “When I left Kiss FM my friends thought I had been fired and did not want to help. All the calls and texts I was getting stopped coming,” he said.
Andrew Kibe has previously been caught up in debt problems with friends.
The controversial Kibe said that he tried to pitch business ideas to potential investors but none was willing to commit funds. He then partnered with a friend and founded an internet radio known as Rogue Radio.
Kibe’s departure from Kiss FM where he hosted the morning show with Kamene Goro was largely seen as an act of firing.
Word on the street was that he was fired to pave way for popular comedian Jalang’o who later quit to join politics and is now the current MP for Lang’ata.
Meanwhile, Kibe has since migrated to the United States where he hosts his controversial shows from. The shows are largely considered to be anti-women. He is also considered to be vulgar personality.
