The 2023 Strix G 16 is a full-fledged gaming laptop targeted at competitive gamers expecting top-of-the-line performance in a chassis that caters to all gamer’s needs.
The design takes inspiration in sports, resulting in a bold, sporty, and vibrant appearance. It features a completely redesigned chassis with new 16” dimensions.
The chassis is made out of light, durable plastic, making sure surface areas stay cool to the touch. The display is sufficiently bright, and the device features a choice of 16:10, 16-inch displays.
The laptop is available in either QHD+ or FHD+ resolution. The 16-inch QHD+ panels are available in either IPS or Mini LED variants. Refresh rates go as high as 240Hz, while response times can go as low as 3ms for the QHD+ panels.
All display configurations support G-Sync® in the laptop display. Dolby Vision® support and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut are available for the QHD+ panel.

The 2023 Strix G 16 comes equipped with Intel® latest 13th Gen Processors, which features Intel® new hybrid architecture with Performance and Efficiency Cores.
These powerful processors are able to provide more performance at the same power rating compared to 12th gen processors.
What is more, the 2023 Strix G 16 supports up to 64GB DDR5 4800MHz memory in dual channel configuration. Both SODIMM slots are available for upgrade.
Its ROG Intelligent Cooling Ecosystem uses a strategic mix of hardware and features to achieve ideal cooling for each combination of components and chassis while keeping noise levels low.
With a large 90Whr battery that has a fast charge of 50% in just 30 minutes, the 2023 Strix G 16 is able to last for long powered on.
The battery can be charged by either the included (up to) 330W adapter, through the conventional DC plug, or through the 100W PD charge-enabled Type-C port.
Interestingly, the 2023 Strix G 16 is Wi-Fi 6E enabled, assuring users of improved security, as well as faster and more stable connections.
Its two Smart Amp-equipped woofers are able to produce sounds up to 2.85X louder than non-Smart Amp-equipped ones.
